Final Report

The Commission conducted an inquiry into the efficiency and effectiveness of State Government goods and services procurement. The Stage 1 report examined the existing procurement framework and considered insights from other jurisdictions to identify reform options that improve procurement practices to positively impact on business and employment.

Timeline

As per the terms of reference, the Stage 1 report was delivered to the Premier on 17 May 2019 and was published on the SAPC website on 9 August 2019.

The publication of this report is within the timelines established for the release of SAPC inquiries which is within 90 days of presenting the inquiry report to the Premier. In this case, the final date for releasing the report would have been 15 August 2019.
