Notice of Inquiry
The South Australian Productivity Commission has been asked by the Premier to undertake an inquiry into how to build the state's research and development (R&D) base as a key element of boosting the state's productivity, the complexity and competitiveness of its economy and South Australian's incomes. In particular, we are asked to report on:
- Whether there are options for the Government to significantly increase the R&D intensity of our state that represent good value for money for South Australian taxpayers;
- How such a model should be structured, what it would cost and how it could be sustainably funded; and
- Whether any additional supports would be needed to help our regions realise their potential.
